So much easier, sensible and less humiliating   than sitting in A&E for hours just for them to give me something not even half as strong as paracetamol and look down my top at my bony carcuss all night. This is why I was not only able to have a consultation without even leaving the house (not at all easy for me) and door to door delivery but the delivery of strong and suitable for my injury. Seeing the driver sent a “whoosh” up my back, a wave of relief that I wouldn’t have to suffer with a horrible migraine for a while. It’s an addictive medication, but provided the person taking it is made aware they are likely an adult with full capacity and should be trusted to use it as prescribed. There are no second chances if you abuse it even once. It’s worth letting people take the risk if it means overall patients (as a collective) pain is reduced.
